LEEDS HERITAGE FRAMEWORK: STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
In 2025 Leeds City Council and a wide range of culture and heritage partners in the city engaged Wafer Hadley to answer a key question: what do people value about the heritage of Leeds and what do we want to protect and pass on to the next generation?
The Leeds Heritage Framework is based on extensive consultation and research with strategic stakeholders and communities, and addresses heritage in its widest sense – all the city’s objects, buildings, and landscapes, as well as its intangible heritage – the stories, festivals, traditions, and beliefs of Leeds.
Our methodology means we will hear different voices, and reach smarter conclusions, in a framework that is characteristic of Leeds. Publication is due in the summer of 2026.
